CHARGER's Story...
This adorable little guy is named Charger. Charger was picked up locally by the animal control officer. We thought we had located Charger's home since he seemed so excited to be in a familiar place, but the owner said he didn't want him. Charger received the worst rejection ever and was sent to our rescue instead. But he is not down and out and quite the contrary, he is very sweet and loving and willing to please. He wags his tail with delight when you show him any attention and is just a wonderful little guy. We are a little stumped on his breed, but he is a smaller size dog. Charger weighs 30 lbs and is approx 18 months old. We think the most predominant breed is Shiba Inu, but he definitely doesn't come with a pedigree. Charger has been neutered, is up to date on his vaccines, and had a very mild case of heart worms when he arrived. He has been fully treated for HW and is now just requiring monthly preventative which he is currently on. He loves to run and play. He is great on his leash and loves to ride in the car even if it IS for a trip to the vet's office. Rarely barks but is always looking and hoping for a pat on the head. He will be ready to head to his new home just in time for Valentine's Day and guaranteed to melt or break your heart with his winning personality.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

CHARGER, a Glastonbury Shiba Inu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shiba Inu for sale in Glastonbury, or seeking a Shiba Inu dog from a breeder in Glastonbury.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Glastonbury already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Glastonbury breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shiba Inu breeders who help with Shiba Inu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Glastonbury paves the way for another one to be saved.
