Isabella is the tiniest IG we have seen through rescue in a long time (5lbs), which probably has something to do with her having come to rescue with multiple breaks in her front legs. She had both legs repaired and is working on finishing up her recovery in her foster home. We cannot stress enough that this dog is not going to be a fit for a first time IG owner. Someone familiar with the breed, and very aware of how tiny this particular dog is will be the right home for Isabella. After giving her the second chance she deserved, we want to make sure she makes it into a home who appreciates that she needs to be careful on those little legs!
She is a little skittish, so we are working on socializing her to new things. Her new home should expect to continue that work. She is doing well on potty pads, crates nicely, and walks well on a leash. She wants to play and be silly, so her best home will be adults only, and have only smaller pets that are appropriate in size and energy level so this little girl can enjoy life safely!
