My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

APOLLO is a happy go lucky 7 month old (born 5/25/07) black male with natural ears. He was the litter runt and still has lots of growing to do. His Dad is being deployed again and decided to contact rescue to take care of his boy Apollo and to find him the perfect home. Apollo loves all other dogs and enjoys playtime and zooming around the yard. He had no problems with the male Dane nor the female Staffy he met at his foster home. He is being fostered with 2 other male dogs, a small 18 lb. and a medium 40 lb. The medium male has not been too fond of Apollo moving in, but they are starting to settle their differences and on last report they were sleeping together on the same dog bed. Apollo has no problems sharing his food and his toys with others. Apollo was just recently introduced to cats and ignored them. His Dad also told us that he had met cats on his travels and curled up with them after just a short time. He is also great with kids, but we would prefer to place him with children ages 6+ as he does get the zoomies and could easily knock a younger child over. This sweet boy is completely housetrained, walks well on leash and of course loves to lounge on the couch if allowed to. His foster mom is teaching him to stay off the couch and enjoy his nice dog bed with his foster brother. He is also in the process of being crate trained, even though he used to be left alone confined to a certain area of the house and he did great. It will be an adoption requirement that he needs to be enrolled in obedience class. Apollo came to MAGDRL in December 2008.

Update 1/15/08 - Apollo has been neutered and is ready for his forever home. He is all puppy, high energy and needs an outlet. He is great with other dogs, kids and cats. He is sweet and a loving dane puppy that will shine in the right home.
