Chance's Story...
He is a handsome boy, about a year old, He is good with other gentle dogs, a bit shy at first with people, but getting over this rapidly in his foster home. Chance just needs a CHANCE to prove himself to you and your family! He is neutered, current on shots and heartworm negative and on preventative. He has been an outside dog, but should train easily as he has NO history of pottying in the house! Please, give this gorgeous boy a chance with his very own family! Contact our Pet Contact by email at ktoth.hscl@yahoo.com for an application!

update!! Chance does great inside in a crate while you are gone and he loves to sprawl out and cuddle. He is a very easy going boy, very easy to get along w/ other dogs.. Right now his playmates are a 3 yr old Male Rottie and a 4 yr old male cocker spaniel.. so he has NO male/male aggression at all. He also does great w/ cats indoors, but if outside and they run he is up for a chase. He doesn't do anything if he catches up but he does think its pretty funny to watch them run :) Inside they can cuddle all they want. He is still a puppy so he has the normal puppy issues.. like making sure your shoes are put away and he has toys :) But he is a soft cuddle bug :)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chance, a Portsmouth Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky for sale in Portsmouth, or seeking a Husky dog from a breeder in Portsmouth.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portsmouth already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portsmouth breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky breeders who help with Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portsmouth paves the way for another one to be saved.
