Max's Story...
Neglected and uncared-for, for several years, Max was then abandoned when his owners moved. Left to wander the streets.

Cold. Alone. Hungry. Sick.

Over a year, poor Max wandered the streets, looking to neighbors for care. Finally he was rescued; but with him came some bad news: 5-8 years old, FIV Positive, Eye Infection, Broken and Abscessed Teeth, and a Small Tumor on his side.

Now Max is finally done with all his vetting and looking for a home of his own. He’s neutered, vaccinated, his broken teeth and his tumor (which was a benign adenoma) have been removed, his mouth is slowly healing and his eyes have cleared up.

Max is a total love. All he wants is a lap to lay on and a person to pet him. He just can’t get enough attention. But sadly, he is not the happiest around other animals. He is not fond of the dogs in his foster home - he does swat and hiss at them, but he may be okay with a calmer dog. He is starting to warm up to cats, and may do well in a home with a cat-friendly cat. All Max wants is someone to love him and care for him as he grows older. Won’t you please give this sweet handsome boy a chance?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Max, a Rochester Hills Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Rochester Hills, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Rochester Hills.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rochester Hills already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rochester Hills breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rochester Hills paves the way for another one to be saved.
