My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet adoptable Stella!
She is a spayed female, with medium-length pure white fur. She is about 7 years old, and she is declawed on the front paws. Stella is great with everyone: kids, cats, dogs and even strangers!*

Stella was surrendered by who owners who were moving away and were going to euthanize her. She has been with us for quite some time while her foster mom and our vet worked on finding the perfect meds to keep her healthy

Stella has allergies, but we aren't sure what she is allergic to. She has been on hypoallergenic food for a long time but we have determined that no matter what food she is eating, she needs Prednisolone to keep her symptom-free. This means either her food allergies are too severe to be managed with diet alone, or she has environmental allergies instead of (or as wells as) the food allergies. Her symptoms include hair loss, red, itchy skin, wheezing and goopy eyes & nose. But with her medication, she does not have any symptoms and is very comfortable

The Prednisolone costs about $20 per month and she needs to be given it once per day with a dropper.
Other than that, she is very low maintenance! Her allergies can be completely managed with just the Prednisolone and a good quality kibble. (We can offer some suggestions to the new family.)
She is currently wearing rainbow SoftPaws on her back claws to prevent her from itching her neck raw, but with her current medication, she hasn't been itchy so it will be up to the new owner whether they want to continue applying the SoftPaws. They look awfully cute!

Stella likes to sleep a lot but she also loves to cuddle and have her belly rubbed. She talks and purrs a lot and has tonnes of personality.
We had a lot of her teeth removed as a result of dental decay, due to her previous owner feeding her mostly soft food and canned fish. But despite the lack of teeth, she eats kibble just fine!
Stella's previous owners also declawed her and the surgery affected her gait tremendously. She has a lot of trouble jumping up even onto the couch or bed, and windowsills are impossible for her. She is unable to jump onto slippery leather couches or tall beds, and you never have to worry about her getting on the counters!
Also as a result of the declawing surgery, she has an unusual gait not unlike a movie-zombie, but despite her hobble, she is able to do stairs and even likes to play with a string toy if she's in the mood
Stella walks a little odd, and is a little funny looking, (perhaps not beautiful in the traditional sense), but she will win you over with her loud purr and quirky personality! She's cute and tolerant and a really great friend. She tolerates even the most energetic dogs and cats, and isn't afraid of anything.
Speaking of tolerant... did we mention Stella likes to have a bath? Especially with the handheld sprayer and some nice warm water

Stella has been waiting a long time and deserves a family of her own who wants to add a really special cat to their home.
