And now, a few words from me: Hi there! My name is Cav, I love being with my foster Mom and my canine sisters and brother. But what I really want is to find my forever home. I always enjoy cuddling up beside my foster Mom while she reads or watches TV, I’m just not one to be touched or petted a lot. In the warm weather I enjoy sunning myself on the deck. Also, did I mention I’m always the first one in line when my foster Mom has treats for all of us and I love going for car rides. If you're looking for a little friend with striking markings and a big personality in a small package, pick me! I am looking for a home to call my own!

And now, a few words from my foster mom: Cav has the cutest markings. He has long legs and a shorter tail and prances everywhere he goes with his tail wagging furiously. Cav has come a long way and has made some great progress since he first came into foster care with me and is now a very happy boy! Cav was extremely frightened in the shelter environment. His time was up there, so Loyal Rescue took him in. Cav loves to sit beside me with his blanket. He always follows me around the house and does the cutest happy dance when I talk to him. Now that he is in my home, he’s doing really well on his house training. Cav is not one that you can pick up as it frightens him. He does enjoy me scratching behind his ears, but only on his terms and will growl to let you know he’s had enough. I don't recommend children in his forever home just because he can become so frightened and his growling may frighten a child as well. He will bark when someone is at the door or if he hears a strange noise, but other than that he is a quiet dog. Cav goes into his crate very easily with a few treats at night, but prefers to snuggle under the covers close to me. He's got the typical Chihuahua attitude and needs an owner who is used to that and will give him clear guidelines before his ego gets too big!

Our Adoption Process...

In order to adopt from us, you need to complete an adoption application. Follow this link

Once the application is completed, it will be reviewed for suitability, and if yes, we will book a telephone interview with you, and check the veterinary and personal references that you provided. If that goes well, a home visit will be booked, and if your home is safe, the adoption can proceed. You will be required to execute and adoption contract and pay a set adoption fee
