My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

SAFE Class XVII is now in session. Seven shelter dogs are having the times of their lives, learning, playing, and receiving lots of TLC at WKCC (Western KY Correctional Complex). They will be crate trained, housetrained, able to walk on a loose leash, able to respond to commands, and they will learn some tricks to entertain and amaze. The dogs are spayed/neutered, on flea & tick and heartworm preventative, up to date on all vaccinations, and fully vetted. The adoption fee is $150.00 and you may request an application at safehavenky@gmail.com. The deadline for completing an application is March 10.
It's me, Buffy and I must say I am happy to be here at SAFE. Good grief, I am just happy to be anywhere after my harrowing experience as a stray! I was looking for food (My goodness, I was skin and bones!) and the house I went to was DEFINITELY not looking for a pet. I am not even going to tell you what I overheard them saying about my future, or lack of it. It is much too distressing! Fortunately for me, a family took me home and fed me like you would not believe! I gained weight and my coat became lovely, if I do say so myself---credit to my foster mom and dad. I found my way to SAFE and I have to say I like it here. I'm working on my training and I'm just happy to be where I am loved and taken care of. My best friend is Lucky Chucky and we have a great time on the ball field!
