WINDA F DOB 12/7/13 Originating from Tibet, bred to alert the Buddhist monks to any intruders who entered the monasteries. Lhasa is the capital city of Tibet and apso is a word in the Tibetan language meaning bearded, so, Lhasa Apso simply means long-haired Lhasa dog. Lhasa Apsos are spirited and devoted little dogs that are affectionate with their masters. They have adorable EWOK looking faces. Lively, Playful, Spirited, Devoted, Alert, Steady, Obedient, Energetic, Friendly, Fearless, Intelligent, Assertive. They enjoy daily exercise and rubbing their head on their owners. Because they were bred as watch dogs, they may be suspicious of strangers and benefit from socialization and training at an early age. A Lhasa is an independent little dog, bold, feisty, and sometimes stubborn.

Each week MuttSavers rescues pups and young dogs from shelters that are forced to put animals to sleep every day because of limited space and resources.
