My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Handsome Dewey is the cutest little purebred long haired dapple mini Doxi. He is about 4 years old and under 10#. This little fellow is super sweet, friendly and affectionate.

He loves toys and is very playful. He is very good at fetch, too!

Even though Dewey has a lot of energy and loves going for walks and playing, he also is an excellent lap baby and is so snuggly. You will absolutely feel loved with this little charmer around!

Dewey has a naturally submissive nature and is such a happy boy.

He lived in a home without other dogs or kids so both are new to him. He is doing very well with the other dogs here and seems to be pretty easy going about making new friends. We have not tested him with kids but he is so cheerful and playful he will probably be just fine with older, respectful children.

He was surrendered by an owner who just did not have time for a dog and kept him crated all day, no life for a sociable pup. Dewey does need to be kept on a potty schedule since he does not know to ask to go out. He is crate trained and keeps his crate spotlessly clean.

Please note that we do not ship animals. We also require a home visit before finalizing any adoptions so preference is given to applicants within a 90 mile range. You will be required to come to High Point, NC to meet/pick up your new pet.
