Sansa's Story...
Sansa is a 5-year old, female, Siberian Husky mix that was admitted to a local shelter, as her family could not afford her medical costs. Sansa had pyometra, which is an infection in the uterus. Upon admittance she needed to have emergency surgery to save her life.

Sansa is an extremely sweet, friendly girl who gets along well with other dogs. She is the type of dog that craves attention, and wants nothing more than to be with her people. It has been found that she does not do well with cats, and for her safety, would require a 6-foot stockade fence, as she can make quick work of a chain link. Sansa is very good in the car, and loves to go for rides. Her ideal home would be one where her family would keep her included in their day-to-day life. She is a true “buddy” dog.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sansa, a Rochester/Buffalo Siberian Husky/Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Siberian Husky/Husky for sale in Rochester/Buffalo, or seeking a Siberian Husky/Husky dog from a breeder in Rochester/Buffalo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rochester/Buffalo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rochester/Buffalo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Siberian Husky/Husky breeders who help with Siberian Husky/Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rochester/Buffalo paves the way for another one to be saved.
