Rickon's Story...
Rickon is a 14 wk old Basset / German Shepherd Mix pup. He is the runt of the litter, but will probably mature to 45-50 lbs.
Rickon is one sweet and adorable puppy. He is also rather smart. During these cold times he likes to find the warmest spot he can, whether it's under some blankets, near the heat vent or cuddling with you watching television.

Rickon loves playing with anyone who wants to play, yet still likes to take time, to chill. He's pretty good at listening. He is completely content when you give him head and belly rubs.

Rickon still has some work to do with potty training and leash walking, but he is still a puppy, so that's to be expected.

This pup is a wonderful little guy. Don't miss out on meeting him.

Rickon has a microchip, is neutered & up to date on his shots & vaccines. Please complete an online application at www.rescueAhart.org if you'd like to meet him. Thanks!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rickon, a Cincinnati Basset Hound/German Shepherd Dog puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Basset Hound/German Shepherd Dog puppy from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Basset Hound/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
