SAMI's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

SAMI's Story...
My name is Sami – I was just recently rescued from a high kill shelter in the south. They told me my time was running out, so I put on my pretty face and grabbed the eyes of the nice ladies at Blues City Animal Rescue. I had been at the shelter for over a month and I just could not stand it anymore. I was literally bouncing off the walls.

I am a whippet/shepherd mix girl and I currently weigh about 20 pounds. I am 8 months old and will likely only gain 5 or 10 more pounds – so don’t let my shepherd fool you, I plan to stay small :)

I am crate trained, house trained, I love walks on the leash – and I really love my foster brother. We love to play together. I would be very happy with a family who gives me lots of love and play time – and I will give you kisses as a thank you!

Sami is available now – and her adoption donation includes transport to Chicago, Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

SAMI, a Waterbury Labrador Retriever/Whippet dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Whippet for sale in Waterbury, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Whippet dog from a breeder in Waterbury.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waterbury already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waterbury breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Whippet breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Whippet rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waterbury paves the way for another one to be saved.
