Born Again Pit Bull Rescue regularly works with the wonderful people at the Del Norte County Animal Control located out in rural Crescent City, CA (a tiny coastal city on the OR/CA border). They have a very small shelter with small indoor 3x6 kennel runs, low foot traffic, odd adoption viewing hours and it rains a lot which means the dogs can’t come outside and play.
We want you to see some really great dogs that they have in their care--it's just a 5-hour drive from Portland to adopt your new BFF! *Please note that occasionally there are volunteers who can assist with transporting the dog from the shelter to Grants Pass/Eugene/Salem/Portland *
Del Norte County Animal Control is located in Crescent City, CA. They are open Monday – Friday from 8am to 5pm. They are closed Saturday and Sunday.

Adoption fees are between $15 - $95 depending on if the dog has been previously fixed and if you are adopting in Del Norte County or out of the county.
Meet Cora!
This sweet girl has it all. She's funny, cute and the sweetest girl you'll ever meet. Volunteers think she's quite the comedian and love her dearly. Cora is about 3 years old and weighs around 55 pounds.
Cora is currently located at the Del Norte County Animal Shelter in Crescent City, CA.
Cora is a sweet little lady. She is mellow and calm, but also loves to play. She doesn't mind the company of other dogs and would love a canine companion in her new home! She walks nicely on a leash and knows some neat tricks like sit and stay. Cora is a wonderful all around dog and she can't wait to find a new family that will love and cherish her!
