found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already spayed, housetrained, in need of an experienced adopter, and up to date with shots.
Her name says it all, this pretty lady is sweet as sugar and she's ready to find her forever person(s) just as sweet as her! Sugar is a 5 year old, female pit bull type dog who's currently waiting at the Humane Society of Southwest Washington in Vancouver, Washington to find her forever home!
Sugar is a girl looking for a quiet kind of lifestyle. Sugar came into the shelter with partially torn ligaments in her back knees. She's not in any pain, and as long as she has some joint supplements to manage her, she's a wonderfully happy and pain free pooch! Sugar also has a little limp to her walk, but it doesn't bother her at all! She may not be the go hiking all the time, or take morning runs kind of lady, but that doesn't bother her. Sugar loves the quiet life, laying at your feet, cuddling up to a good movie, and spending those rainy Portland days inside with her people. That of course doesn't mean she doesn't enjoy a good adventure outdoors too!
Sugar would prefer a home without other dogs or small children, it will suit her condition much better than that of a busy household. The shelter will also require that Sugar has a fenced backyard to play in.
Sugar is a wonderful sweet girl! She's the perfect companion for someone who isn't overly active, or just loves to spend lots of time in the comfort of their home. Great for a single guy or gal! She'll relax with you and play during the times you aren't busy watching tv or cuddling with her! She's a volunteer and staff favorite, and they can't wait to see her go to a wonderful forever home!
If you are interested in adopting Sugar, and think you are a great match for her, don't wait, go visit her at the shelter soon!
