My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Breed: Rat Terrier/Chihuahua
Age: 8 months
Weight: 12 pounds
Good with dogs: Yes
Good with cats: Yes
Good with kids: Yes
Energy Level: High

Millie - look at that sweet face. She is just a little sweetheart. Millie likes to follow the humans around and will rub up against you for a head rub. She will nuzzle you for attention or stare at you with those cute puppy eyes. She will be a great snuggler too. Millie likes to play with squeaky toys as well as balls. She will engage with other dogs in playtime and roll around in the grass when out enjoying the day. Millie is a shelter favorite because they say she is sweet. She came to be there because she was part of an accidental litter at a breeders. This little girls needs a home where she will get the love and attention she deserves. She has high energy because she is still a puppy so keep that in mind if you think she would make a great family member.

If you would like to adopt Millie, please contact Corrie at doubledogcorrie@yahoo.com

Unless otherwise indicated, all Double Dog Rescue dogs have received the following before being available for adoption:

Thorough veterinary examination

All routine annual vaccinations, including Rabies, DHLPP, Bordatella (kkennel cough), Heartworm Test, Fecal Test, Deworming

Spay/Neuter

All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don't break with disease.

If any dog shows any signs of disease or ailment, DDR vets the dog until he or she has a clean bill of health to the best of our knowledge. This includes anything from being treated for Heartworm, Broken Leg, Cherry Eye, Torn ACL, Upper Respiratory etc.)

NOTE: Dogs who were treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 months after last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartguard/Ivermectin following the treatment to kill the Heartworm larvae. All dogs should be re-tested after 4 months from the last Heartworm treatment.
