My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey! Hey you – look! Here I am! Aren’t I cute as can be? My name is Muffler. I got that name because when I first came to Valley Dogs and someone would hold me, I would wrap myself around their neck like a muffler.

Not much is known about me. A lady driving out of the airport thought she hit me with her car and when she stopped to check and opened her door, I jumped right in. Thanks to some really nice associates at Petsmart, I was kept safe until Valley Dogs could take me in.

So, here I am. You know the saying dynamite comes in small packages. That would be me! I am happy, happy, happy, bouncy, playful, inquisitive, full of energy and even fuller of love. I like to be with my human as much as possible (which is really easy because I only weigh about 5 pounds). I love human laps and sleeping with humans all curled up and warm. I love to go outside and explore and sniff as much as I can. Sometimes I get so excited that I forget to stay right with my human so if I’m not in a secure yard I need to be on a leash, but that is okay because I love my walks!

I get along with other dogs (right now I live with 11 others) and let’s face it, most dogs are going to be bigger than me so that’s not a huge factor as long as they are nice to me. I am almost completely potty trained, and my foster mom is working with me and soon I will be there. When she first crated me I’d cry and cry, but I have learned it’s not such a bad place to be when I have to (but I’d rather be with you).

I seem to be okay with older kids, but the younger ones may be too rough for a little guy my size. I have not been exposed to cats yet.

I am so excited to meet my new family I just can hardly wait. If you think you are that family, please contact my foster so we can meet.
