About Mutt & Lab Rescue - Staten Island

About Our Rescue Group...

We take dogs from high kill shelters in the south, bring them up here, and find them wonderful Forever Homes in the northeast.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We have pets in North Creek, the Utica area, the Millbrook area, and a few on Staten Island.

Our Adoption Process...

We require an application, and a vet reference. If this is your first pet, we require a home visit.

Our contract states that all dogs must receive regular vet care, including heartworm preventative, and obedience training. You must be 21 years old to adopt, and we prefer those who own a home, although very mature and responsible prospective adoptees who rent will be gratefully considered. Any dog that does not work out is returned to us by legal contract, after you have taken reasonable measures to give the dog a chance to adapt to your home and new situation. You may have to wait up to two weeks for us to find a spot for the returning dog, as we are always very full.
