Dexter's Story...
This is Dexter!
He is very handsome, sweet, and quiet. He is still adjusting to foster care, and is still timid here for us. He needs to find a new lifetime home because one of his family members was allergic to him.
Dexter gets along well with other cats and enjoys affection.
He is only 2 years old and has always been an indoor cat.
Dexter is neutered and has been vaccinated for Rabies and distemper.
He always uses the litter box.
Because he is an adult, we ask that his new family agrees not to declaw him.
His physical exam reveals that he is healthy.
Dexter has received dewormer and Frontline.

His adoption fee is only $100 and he will go to his new home with his medical records.

To speed along the adoption process, please make sure to fill out our adoption application.

If you would like to meet Dexter, please contact us to set up a time! He is currently living in foster care in Cottage Grove, but is willing to travel to Oregon to meet his potential new family members!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dexter, a Madison Himalayan cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Himalayan for sale in Madison, or seeking a Himalayan cat from a breeder in Madison.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Madison already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Madison breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Himalayan breeders who help with Himalayan rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Madison paves the way for another one to be saved.
