Jordan's Story...
Jordan is a handsome male Beagle/Hound mix, likely 2 or 3 years old and 45 pounds. He is a little bit tentative and shy in new situations, but gets bouncy and playful once he's comfortable. This friendly boy gets along fine with other dogs and would make a great family pet.

An adoption fee may be required which helps cover some of the care and veterinary services provided, including spay for females, neuter for males, vaccinations, de-worming and heartworm testing when age appropriate.

The adoption process begins with an application, which is a tool the Franklin County Humane Society uses to make a good forever home match. PLEASE-- NO PHONE CALLS -- YOUR CALL CANNOT BE RETURNED.

**EMAIL ONLY TO: and we'll send you an application and/or answer any questions you might have.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jordan, a Metamora Hound (Unknown Type)/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type)/Beagle for sale in Metamora, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type)/Beagle dog from a breeder in Metamora.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Metamora already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Metamora breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type)/Beagle breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type)/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Metamora paves the way for another one to be saved.
