My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Holly's story is one of sheer survival. Our rescue was called to pick up 6 dogs, all females. Two adults, two smaller dogs, and two very tiny puppies. Holly and sister Delta were the two smaller dogs. How they had survived, we are not sure. All the dogs had been living out in the most rural area of the county. A house near by had discovered the dogs and had been taking food to them, but otherwise, they were scrounging for their own food, seeking shelter where they could find it, and barely surviving the existence that they had. It broke our hearts. The dogs were all brought to our rescue and we started our process to get them healthy and to help them find their forever homes. Holly is a shy little girl. She is wonderful with other dogs and cats, but has never had much affection from people. She so wants to be loved and petted and will come right up to you with anticipation of getting a pat on the head. Then at the last minute, being fearful of being mistreated, she will retreat. We have watched her improve over the last several weeks in beginning to trust our volunteers and we feel that she is finally ready to begin the search for her new home.
Holly is spayed, up to date on vaccines, rabies, on all monthly preventatives, and testing heart worm negative. She is a terrier mix in black and tan with a white belly. She doesn't bark much except to alert you of someone approaching. Small in size at only 20 lbs. She doesn't require a lot of us other than just a show of kindness towards her. Won't you consider this little missy as your next best friend??
