Nonya's Story...
bout Nonya
Hi, my name is Nonya and I am a very sweet little shepherd mix girl who was wandering a neighborhood and my wonderful foster mom took me in. It is a good thing she did because on Thanksgiving Day I delivered 9 puppies! I am very young and some of my babies were stillborn. Mom found homes for some of them, but AARF took 3 of my babies. Two of them are still up for adoption, Roy DeSoto and Johnny Gage. Mom thinks a dog with some Australian Shepherd or Collie in it was the culprit! I'm not sayin'! I am doing well at housebreaking and love children and other dogs. I am not a fan of cats, though. I can jump a 4 foot fence so will need to be taken for walks for exercise, or will need a 5 or 6 foot privacy fence for exercise purposes if you are not out with me!
You can meet me at the adoption fair at 311 Harvey Street in Winston Salem on Saturdays from noon until 4. Due to a home visit being a part of the adoption process I cannot be adopted more than a one hour radius from Winston Salem.

Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Winston-Salem, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Winston-Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Winston-Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Winston-Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue.
