Chip is a 12 year old Brittany who is full of life! He is an orange and white neutered male. He is UTD on all his vaccinations and is heartworm negative. He is current on flea and tick and HW medication.

Chip was surrendered by his family when they retired. Chip does show signs of mild aches and pains (arthritis) but he is healthy otherwise.

He was approximately 40 lbs over weight when the owner surrendered him, and his NBRAN Foster has had him on a good exercise and diet regime. He has done fantastic losing weight though he still has another 10 -12 lbs to go.

Chip is fantastic with children, ok with cats (likes to chase) and great with other dogs as long as he is allowed to be the boss.

Chip's adoption fee is $200.00 or for he is eligible for a Senior-to-Senior rate of $100.00 for Seniors over 60. We are able to transport Chip up to 1000 miles, although we do ask the adopting family to help by driving the last leg of the journey.

If you’re interested in adding Chip to your family, please complete an on-line adoption app at (under “Adoption Center”) and then email Susan Brown at or call 902-221-2412

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our adoptions are all handled on line, but we also participate in local events depending on the time available and the volunteers in a particular city/area/

Our Adoption Process...

Adopters must complete an adoption application on line at or contact a volunteer who can assist if computer access is not available. After the application is received, contact will be made by the state coordinator and a home visit/inspection will be scheduled. A check of the provided veterinarian reference(s) will also be done.

Once an adopter is approved, the state coordinator will send a contract and make arrangements for payment of the adoption fee of $350.00. We accept credit cards on line, PayPal or personal check. We also offer reduced fees for senior dogs and for senior adopters!
