Stacie's Story...
Meet Stacie! Stacie is our beautiful three-year-old Domestic Shorthair. This stunning tuxedo cat is a real lovebug. She loves attention and you will often find her rolling around just waiting to be petted. Stacie is a very sweet girl who will thrive in a loving home. Stacie is FIV+, but do not let that scare you away from adopting her! We don't want this lovely girl to have to sit in our shelter forever, as she watches her friends get adopted, just because she has an autoimmune disease. Stacie is spayed, dewormed, treated to prevent fleas & ticks and is up to date with vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $100.00 and she'll get one free exam at our vet's office, one free month of pet health insurance and a microchip. If you'd like to adopt her please call or visit...we are conveniently located in Sunset Park, Brooklyn near the D/N/R (36th Street) train and we're open every day from 11am to 7pm. Stacie can't wait to meet you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stacie, a Brooklyn Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
