Max's Story...
This adorable face belong to Max the 11 month old pit bull terrier. Max has been in a foster home for a couple months now and this home is fantastic for him! Max is living with children, dogs and cats! All of which he is doing very well with - along with being housebroken! Max would do best in a home with another dog as he really is dependent on that companionship to help him come out of his shell. He is quite shy and for a puppy - that is incredibly sad to see but boy o boy when another dog is around - the tail is a wagging! The kids in the family can lay and watch tv with him - and that too is something he enjoys. Please consider adopting Max as a new family member. He will not be at all of our adoption events - however - his foster mom is very happy to introduce him outside of the events! Applications can be found at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Max, a Richmond Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
