Titan's Story...
TITAN IS CURRENTLY PENDING ADOPTION

Meet Titan!

Titan was an owner surrender where the owners were not able to keep him due to landlord issues & BSL.

Titan is a 7 month old, beautiful blue pup that has lots of energy! His former owners describe him as a very affectionate and playful pup. He loves to be outside and would benefit from a yard to run and play in.

Titan responds to basic commands such as sit, lay down, shake, speak, no biting [he sometimes uses his mouth to play] and kisses. He also knows when it's time for him to eat when you say, "let's go eat." He responds to "get your toy" and "lock in" when it's time to go to his crate.

He loves to be praised and called a good boy! He gets very excited and hops around when he does things well and pleases you. He also loves affection and to lay with you and cuddle. He gets very hyper and happy when you return home and also when he sees new people. He is good with children, however, he does jump and gets very excited so that may scare the child at first. It takes him about ten minutes or so to calm down. He would benefit from being trained not to jump when he meets someone new or when his owners return from not being home. His former owners have taught him "down," and he's gotten a lot better with it, but he is still learning. Titan will meet with a trainer for basic obedience while with our rescue.

Sometimes Titan will still have accidents, as he is still a pup and learning. We try to take him outside as often as possible and he is a very smart dog, so he should catch on quickly.

Titan will be neutered, heartworm tested, and microchipped prior to adoption. He is up to date on vaccines and will be on monthly heartworm preventative.

Titan will be available for adoption on March 1, 2014. We will accept applications during his 30 day foster care evaluation, but he will not be eligible to go to his forever home until March 1st.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Titan, a Southampton Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Southampton, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Southampton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southampton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southampton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southampton paves the way for another one to be saved.
