Sommer's Story...
Her name is Sommer. She is a 7 year old Catahoula mix. She is dark brindle in color. She has a very curly tail. Alittle grey around her muzzle shows her age. She can be a bit "stand offish"... but sweet when you get to know her. Her dad has had a tracheostomy (removal of his voice box) due to cancer, several years ago. He has been in the hospital recently, for awhile, but we dont know if he will recover anytime soon. He has asked us to help place Sommer in a forever home because he feels he cant give her the time/ attention/ and or comfort she is used to. He will miss her so much, but is trying to do what is best for her.

I will try to send a picture in the next day or so if possible... so as to help enhance our search for a wonderful family!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sommer, a Jacksonville Catahoula Leopard Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Catahoula Leopard Dog for sale in Jacksonville, or seeking a Catahoula Leopard Dog dog from a breeder in Jacksonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jacksonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jacksonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Catahoula Leopard Dog breeders who help with Catahoula Leopard Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jacksonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
