My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Praline Pecan and her sisters, Strawberry Cheesecake and Creme Brulee were picked up from running the streets in a rural Tennesse town. They were taken to a high kill shelter that does work with this rescue. The sisters were put on the adoptable list right away. However, the shelter told this rescue that Praline was not adoptable as she was so frightened and in the process of "shutting down". The shelter was adamant that they needed to put her down! We had seen her picture though and were so taken with her beautiful markings and sweet face and just had a"gut feeling" that she would be okay once in another environment. We pleaded with the shelter to give her a chance and they finally agreed. Shortly after arriving at the vet's office; we were told that she was the sweetest one of the group and was friendly and loving with the staff at the vets! We were not surprised, but very happy for this girl that she now had a chance at a wonderful life. Like her sisters, Praline is heartworm negative, now spayed, up to date on all shots and on prevention for fleas, ticks and heartowrms and is microchipped. She is approx. 1-1 1/2 yrs old and weighs about 20 lbs. Praline is ,as we said, sweet and affectionate and very smart.
