Honey's Info...

Honey's Story...
I am a 9 month old Golden Retriever/Australian Shepherd mix. I was found wandering in a dried up river bed in La Junta. I was taken to the shelter there and was waiting for someone to claim me. Nobody did, and I was put on the euthanasia list. Fortunately for me Dreampower came and saved me. I was adopted by a wonderful family that spoiled me every chance they had, but they are going through multiple surgeries that limits their mobility. They want me to have a home where I will be played with constantly. I am shy at first, but I warm up quickly. I could use some training, as I am still very much puppy. I will be a big dog when I am grown up. Are you my new forever family? If you would like to adopt, please fill out an application at www.dreampoweranimalrescue.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Honey, a Colorado Springs Golden Retriever/Australian Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Australian Shepherd for sale in Colorado Springs, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Australian Shepherd puppy from a breeder in Colorado Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Colorado Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Colorado Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Colorado Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
