Calvin's Story...
Hi there! I'm Calvin! I'm not one for talking about myself, but besides being totally handsome, I'm also smart! I've learned that I sit and lay down and get yummy treats! I love to give the best hugs. Sometimes I'll throw a toy and play and be super silly, but I also LOVE to snuggle up and cuddle with you on the couch. When kids enter the I just flops over for belly rubs! I'm a sweet young man and just ready for my family to teach him all about life! I also have good manners as you can see by the way I cross my paws all proper like when laying down.
Calvin is an adorable dog. He is 18 mo old (6/30/14) and weighs about 41 pounds. He's heartworm negative and has been neutered. Calvin loves to play and would make a great dog for anyone, especially an active family. We don't think he likes cats but he especially likes female dogs. When you look at Calvin he always looks like he's saying -- Come and play with me. Calvin is currently in Madison, Mississippi but transport can easily be arranged to New England through Animal Rescue Front! If you're interested in taking him into your forever home, please fill out the adoption form here: http://www.animalrescuefront.org/Adoption-Form.html

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Calvin, a Groton Boxer/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Labrador Retriever for sale in Groton, or seeking a Boxer/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Groton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Groton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Groton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Boxer/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Groton paves the way for another one to be saved.
