My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Puppy and I am just that.... puppy!!! I am 11 months old, 45 lbs and a whole lot of love! My foster mom found me in July 2013 at her office in Houston. I don't know how I got there, but she saw me and was nice to me. She tricked me with yummy vienna sausages and put me in this box thing. While I was in the box thing, she put me in the back of a BBIIGGG moving thing that had really cold air in it. It was so cool in there I feel right to sleep! Before I knew it, we were at a place with lots of other animals. It smelled weird but my foster mom said they would fix me up and take really good care of me. She was right!!! I got a bath, ate a lot of food, got poked with needles and had surgery. I didn't like the needles or the surgery but everyone kept telling me it was to keep me healthy, prevent me from being a daddy dog and to return me to my family if I ever got lost. The people at my temporary home are really nice and I love them all so much. My foster mom says she's happy I like them so much but I can't live at the vet forever. She has been working very hard to find me a forever family. She says I need a home with people who will love me as much as her. Since I love to run, I really need a big yard. Or someone who will take me running with them. I would make a great running buddy! I'm good on a leash too! I also like to play with plastic milk cartons and tug o war toys, eat Happy Meals and sitting in laps. My foster mom says I'm too big now to sit in her lap but she lets me anyway. I've met a small, hairy thing once that made a really weird noise at me. My foster mom said it was a cat and if I wasn't careful it would scratch me. I didn't get close to it but I sure barked at it! My foster mom says my bark is loud and deep and could scare someone if they didn't know what a love bug I am. I didn't think it was that loud because that cat never moved. I've also met smaller dogs than me. I love to play with them, but my foster mom says I forget how big I really am and can hurt the little dogs if I play too rough. I REALLY like playing with big dogs like me! I've met 2 of my foster mom's dogs and Leah liked me, but I don't think Thor liked me very much. He kept growling at me when I jumped on his back. I don't know why he got so mad, I just wanted to play. I've also met little people. Little people scare me. My foster mom said it was not nice for me to growl at the little people. She called them children. I don't mind big children, but those small ones scare me. I am a really a good boy and smart, so my foster mom tells me. She also said the right family will find me soon. If you're interested in meeting me or have questions about me, please contact my foster mom, Alexis Grimsby. Her email address is alexis.grimsby@gmail.com and her phone number is 832-338-8307.
