Bronson's Story...
Bronson is a precious chi-weenie (chihuahua/dauchshund mix). His mom was found by our rescue in a shelter almost ready to pop. A kind foster home took her in and she delivered puppies three weeks later. They are healthy and ready to go to their own homes! Because they are so tiny we prefer they not go to a home with children under the age of five or very large dogs. They will be neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, and microchipped. Bronson is currently fostered in Huntsville, Alabama. If you are interested in meeting Bronson apply here: http://forrescue.net/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=58&Itemid=14

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bronson, a Knoxville Dachshund/Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Chihuahua for sale in Knoxville, or seeking a Dachshund/Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Knoxville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Knoxville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Knoxville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Chihuahua breeders who help with Dachshund/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Knoxville paves the way for another one to be saved.
