My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Skittles is a beautiful, very sweet little red-coated cocker girl who is in need of a new home as her family moved to China for 4 years and could take her with them. She had been with them since she was a tiny pup, and this is a very sad situation for Skittles and her family. She is a healthy girl who is wonderful with all people as well as with other doggies. She is loving and cuddly and has a beautiful soft, reddish coat. She is 9 years old and 26 pounds--a happy little girl who is also mostly housebroken.

About 6 years ago, when Skittles was overweight, she jumped off bed and broke a vertebra in her back. She was whisked into surgery and recovered so she walks normally again. The one problem she has now is that during the surgery a nerve was cut, which has caused her some fecal incontinence, and she does not know it is happening as she cannot feel it. It is always firm, never soft. With regular trips outside during the daytime, this problem is pretty much a non-issue. At night or when her family must go out, she can wear a diaper. She needs someone who is willing to love her and will be able to be home with her a good part of the day. She is so sweet and loving and eager to please! m. Skittles is fostering in Riverside. She has always been well-taken-care-of and has been loved her whole life. Please get an application from Ann at Cockers2Love@Yahoo.com.
