Here's what the humans have to say about me:
UPDATE 3/13/08 From Jillian's foster mom in Arkansas: "Jillian IS housebroken already - Yahoo! And we are working on sit right now - not so good on come yet, but there are lots of interesting things going on in the yard with the squirrels, birds, and neighbors. She sleeps in a crate at night and settles down well - no crying, barking, etc. and sleeps all night without needing to go out. A PLUS for adopters I would say!
So, everything is going fine with our gal, Jillian. I did some research and really think she is actually a Carolina Dog, not a shiba inu mix. She has all the tell-tale features, the coloration, upstanding ears, the sickle tail with white tip, eye color, nose color, and furrow between the brows. She looks serious in her current photos, but let me tell you, she can SMILE with the best of them - especially playing and romping with her brother Cabby! Jillian is such a sweetie. Jillian gets along well with everyone- living with other dogs and cats is fine with her!"
UPDATE 1/19/08 Jillian is running out of time. She is wagging her tail at visitors now and is doing so well. Will you consider fostering her until we find her forever home?
11/17/07: This cute little girl is Jillian! She is so scared because she was surrendered by her owner . Anyway, she is gentle dog (took treats from adults and children well) who longs for attention. Those ears are so adorable don't you think?! Because she is an owner surrender, she really needs to find a home (at least a foster home) as soon as possible.
This dog is at our partner shelter in Arkansas or in foster care in Arkansas unless otherwise marked as "in Maine" or "In New England".
