Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Name: Charlie
Age: approximately 8 years
Sex: male
Breed: Cocker Spaniel
Size: 26 lbs.
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
Vet Info: Charlie tested positive for heartworm but is currently being treated. He is UTD with inoculations. Charlie is blind but appears to manage well.
Owner Info: Charlie was turned in to a shelter to be euthanized because he is blind. He was saved by a small rescue. The rescue is small with limited outreach and ideally would wish for a forever home for Charlie. Charlie is reported as being house broken, leash trained, and good with all dogs, cats, small animals and people.
The current owner has written the following about Charlie:
“WE ARE A RESCUE OF MIXED BREED DOGS.
CHARLIE WAS PULLED AS HE WAS BLIND AND WAS GOING TO BE GASSED.
HE DESPERATELY NEEDS A FOREVER HOME THAT WILL HAVE MORE TIME FOR HIM AND TO FULLY DEVELOP THIS WONDERFUL DOGS PERSONALITY. EYE SPECIALIST SAYS HE IS A POOR CANDIDATE FOR SURGERY ALTHOUGH IT MAYBE COULD BE DONE BUT NO GUARANTEE, AND STATES HE GETS ALONG FIND AND HAS PROBABLY BE BLIND FOR A WHILE. HE IS ON 3 MEDICINES AND ONE EYE IS WORSE THAN OTHERS.”
