Axel's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Axel's Story...
Axel was turned over to BARC when his owner could no longer care for him. A mix of Labrador Retriever and Catahoula, Axel will be a great all-around dog that will fit in to an active family lifestyle.
Axel is a puppy, and will look forward to learning from you. He will want to please you and make you happy, and will readily learn what you want him to do. Everything you do together with Axel during the training process will benefit both of you and strengthen your bond and prepare for a lifetime of doggy devotion!
Have the supplies and dog food that you will need before bringing Axel home. Ask questions and do research if you are a first-time dog adopter. There is always help at FFL! When you add Axel to your preparations, all you will have to do is add love, and you will have a recipe for success!
Meet Axel, and the two of you are sure to make music—puppy style!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Axel, a Houston Labrador Retriever/Catahoula Leopard Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Catahoula Leopard Dog for sale in Houston, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Catahoula Leopard Dog dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Catahoula Leopard Dog breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Catahoula Leopard Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
