My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet George! George is a 50 lb, four year old mixed breed dog. We are told that his mom was a Shar Pei / Pug and his dad was most likely a Jack Russell Terrier.

George loves his crate and likes to spend his days outdoors in an outside kennel or fenced yard. George is house trained as well. He knows hand signals for "sit", "down", and can give "paw" as well as "other paw". George loves riding in the car, and enjoys going on errands and out and about. His show stopping looks attract a lot of attention, people just have to come over and ask what he is! He has been ok with some dogs but has not had much exposure to many different animals so we are taking it slow with him. He lived with a small female dog in his previous home who "bossed him around" and he lives with a small male dog in his foster home who he is fine with as well. George loves to play with empty water bottles, he's easy to please! He loves to play fetch and is really good at it! He brings his toy / bone / ball right back and drops it at your feet. George is so well behaved and he is great with kids. He sleeps in his crate quietly all night and is content to be crated as needed. He is new to our rescue so we will post more information as we learn more about him. So far he is a big cuddly teddy bear but is very confused and concerned as to why he is in a new place. George was surrendered to us by his owner because she was moving and couldn't take him with her.

If you are interested in finding out more about George, please fill out an application. George is being fostered in Charlton and his adoption fee is $350.

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
