Meet Abita! This sweet girl has a beautiful coat and gorgeous gold eyes that will immediately draw your attention. Abita and her 5 siblings were originally found last year at 6 weeks old in terrible condition. They were in a box that had been left out in the rain and had spots of missing hair due to a skin condition. Luckily they went into a foster home right away. Now it is just Abita and her sister Corona! They love to play with each other and the other foster dogs of the house, sneak by the cat without getting swatted, and laze around outside in the sun. Abita is already housebroken, kennel-trained, and ready to learn much, much more!

At a little over a year now, Abita needs a quiet household that will help her come out of her shell. She can be fearful of strangers, but with an owner that will teach her to trust again she will make a magnificent pet. A fenced in backyard is ideal, as well as a house with another dog that could show her the ropes. All this girl really needs is a family to call her own!

Dogs in our program are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and examined by a veterinarian prior to adoption.
