Candy's Story...
Hi,
Lisa and those here at HwFAR call me Candy, which matches me perfectly since I am so sweet. As of January 2014 I will be about 1 yr old old. I get along great with other dogs and even make friends with cats. When I manage to make it to the bed or on the couch I get under the covers and snuggle. My favorite place is in your lap while you watch TV, read a book, surf the internet, or just hanging out. If you want I can get my toys, the squeaky ones and entertain you for hours with me playing.
If you want to get to know me a little more please go online to www.hwfar.com and fill out an application and then we can have a play date and you can get to know me more and fall in love with me and we can be forever friends.
I am fixed, micro-chipped and current on shots.
Just a quick reminder just like all dogs here at Hanging with Friends Anima Rescue if you adopt me we are required to complete a dog training class within 60 days of the adoption being completed. Lisa requires this because she believes that it shows a true commitment from you to me, and it will also help us to get to understand each other better. Just think of the things we can learn together and how fun it will be.

Hope to see you soon....

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Candy, a Pittsburgh Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Pittsburgh, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Pittsburgh.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pittsburgh already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pittsburgh breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pittsburgh paves the way for another one to be saved.
