Beauty- American Pit Bull Terrier, Female, 2-3 years
Beauty was brought to a high kill rural shelter after being removed from her home by animal control officers. The officer found that her owners were not providing adequate food, water, and shelter for Beauty determining she had experienced long term neglect. Poor Beauty has not had the best life, being chained outside, overbred, and ignored. Despite her past, she she is still sweet, kind, and well mannered. A rescue volunteer knew this girl deserved a chance and offered to foster her. According to the volunteer it is one of the best decisions she has made! She has been a great house guest, quiet and grateful. She gets along with her foster siblings very well, is submissive and easy-going around her foster pack. She loves her human foster sister, an 11 year old girl and enjoys being around people. She is house-broken, and does well being left alone during the day. She loves toys, and is just learning how to play. She would love a home where she can be someone's baby, and accompany them on their adventures. She's a pocket-pitty around 35-40 lbs, and the perfect size to fit into any home! It is difficult to determine age, as her past has left her with a few scars, but it is thought that she is around 3-4 years old. Beauty just needs a chance to prove that she is an amazing dog!
Beauty's adoption fee is $275 which helps cover the costs of care, including vet care.
