Bella's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, and up to date with shots.

Bella's Story...
Bella is a beautiful sable border collie. She is a confident, smart, determined, alpha female. She is well trained and very loving. She was turned in by her owners when their baby began toddling. She is good with other dogs, but not the really little guys. She loves to play with her big red ball. Her engaging personality will wrap her human around her paw, so her family must be ready to be in charge. She is energetic, but at 7 years old is also willing to be quiet and enjoy being indoors. She could be an only dog, if her human was mostly always with her. Otherwise, she would need a friend.

About Look Back Border Collie Rescue, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a not-for-profit organization run by volunteers. We specialize in placing orphaned Border Collies matching the right dog to the right home. Our dogs come from shelters or owner turn-in situations and stay in foster homes. We are their way-station to finding their very special human.
Our President has spent a lifetime with ranch animals and has successfully placed over 300 dogs during her tenure with various rescues. This experience is the basis for accurate temperament testing and successful placement, because if you meet 20 Border Collies, you meet 20 personalities. They are each unique. We try our best to understand each Border Collie’s needs and possible issues so that we can honestly share as much as possible with potential adopters.
What does Look Back mean? Look Back is the command given to the Border Collie by the handler after already gathering sheep, to leave the hard earned flock and go look for more lost sheep. To be willing to leave the flock for more sheep requires deep trust in the handler. Together, the teamwork completes the task of bringing all of the sheep to safety.
If you adopt from a rescue, you are rescuing the next orphan and you become part of the team. We appreciate you considering Look Back Border Collie Rescue.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Since our dogs live in foster homes, they are located through-out Southern California.

Our Adoption Process...

We have an on-line application on our website in which the potential adopter shares information about their family, experience with dogs, and what they want in their next best friend. The foster family will contact the applicant to answer questions and set up a chance for them to meet the dog. Fees and blank adoption contract will be sent to the adopter prior to meeting.
