Rowan's Story...
Meet Rowan! Isn’t he handsome?! He was picked up by Animal Control as a stray. For three weeks he sat, waiting for his owners to come pick him up so he could go home! But Rowan’s owners never came. Nobody came. Each day, he waited in his concrete kennel and watched as people looking for a new companion bypassed his run, always commenting on his beautiful coat and soul-stealing eyes, but never choosing him to complete their family. A volunteer with Catering to Cats & Dogs saw Rowans picture online and fell in love! He was placed in a foster home so he could learn what it was like to be loved again. Rowan quickly showed us what a humble boy he is, cuddling every chance he gets, but never turning down a play session.
But Rowan’s heart is broken again.. He has heart worms.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rowan, a Charlotte American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Charlotte, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Charlotte.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Charlotte already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Charlotte breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Charlotte paves the way for another one to be saved.
