Shyla's Story...
I was a great mom - I really was. I had lots of pups, mainly because my owners told me that’s all I was good for. I guess I didn’t do something right the last time though, because next thing I knew - I was at Animal Control. I was so confused, but given my previous duties, this place almost seemed like an improvement. Some humans came by to talk to me, but each one would mumble something about heartworms & “too much money” before they walked away. But one day, these really nice people from Catering to Cats & Dogs told me I was going on a freedom ride! My new foster parents keep telling me that I’m such a sweet girl, and I just LOVE humans of all sizes!
Now all I need is a forever family! Oh - and heartworm treatment.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shyla, a Charlotte Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Charlotte, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Charlotte.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Charlotte already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Charlotte breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Charlotte paves the way for another one to be saved.
