Great Dane Dog for adoption in Nicholasville, Kentucky - Wish

Plenty of my friends are looking

Wish's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, a special needs pet, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, and good with kids.

Wish's Story...
Wish is a female, great dane about 11 months old. She is deaf and cross-eyed but sees well. She knows some American Sign Language commands and will wait to be petted or to take a treat. She is being crate trained and being socialized by her wonderful fosters, but nothing beats a forever home.
From her foster mom, "Wish is one of the most loving dogs I've met. She would rather cuddle and be pet than play. She becomes very attached to the people she lives with and is always by your side. She is doing very well with crate training and is potty trained. She is learning "doggie sign language" and knows how to sit, give you her paw and is working on down. She sits and waits for her food and will sit for you to pet her. She walks perfectly on the leash with her gentle leader. As of now she would do best in a home with another laid back/submissive dog or a home with no other dogs. She is great with adults and liked the kids she met at Petsmart."
She will only be adopted as an indoor pet. Apply to adopt Wish at www.KGDR.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wish, a Nicholasville Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in Nicholasville, or seeking a Great Dane dog from a breeder in Nicholasville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nicholasville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nicholasville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nicholasville paves the way for another one to be saved.
