Makalohi's Story...

Makalohi is a lovely soft tuxedo kitty who has mastered the 'kitty stink eye'! She may shoot you the odd dirty look -- but she's really a lover through and through.

Maka LOVES to chase and play with the laser as well as the feather on the end of a string. She is a pretty good jumper and really loves to engage with her people by playing this way. She also loves being atop the highest part of the cat stand so she can survey all her land and people from up on high!

Maka is a chirper. She will chirp and chat away as she is lying down for her 13th nap of the day... chatting away even while sleeping. I wonder whom she talks to in her sleep?! Perhaps the birds and squirrels that she loves to watch out the window from atop her cat stand.

While she has lived with other kitties all her life, Maka can be a bit of a loner and likes to make her own space. She does like to be near you, cracking an eye open every 3rd nap to see if you're still around. And she will come and sit by you and accept little pats and chin scratches. If you pick her up, she will give you approximately 97 seconds of cuddle before she is off!

If there is a big house party you may find her, like most introverts, taking a few quiet moments in the bedroom. She'll sleep at the foot of the bed, nestled behind your knee, or at hip level. Close enough to be near you, but not on you.

Maka also really loves to help out around the house. She is up to supporting you with making the bed... she will jump and pounce and help while you do the hard work!

So if you're ready for a gorgeous kitty to chat your ear off, entertain you, keep you company, and help with the chores...look no further! Maka is ready to be part of a forever home. Could it be yours?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Makalohi, a Vancouver Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
