My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am a male Treeing Walker Coonhound. I am about 6 years old. I am neutered, heartworm negative, current on shots, micro-chipped and on flea/heartworm prevention. My adoption is $150.

I was originally given up by my owner because I have a "cold nose". That means that I am not good for hunting because I don't have the drive or personality. I am a great house dog and I am very sweet. I was adopted out a couple of years ago but my owner can no longer keep me because she is moving in with family and has long work hours. It is sad but hopefully I can find my new forever home quickly.

Please email for an application. A New Beginning Pet Rescue, Inc. only accepts cash. We do not have the ability to accept credit or debit cards and no longer accept checks. The pets are available to be seen at our adoption events on weekends at the Petsmart in Altamonte Springs on Saturday from 11-4:30 and Sunday from 12-4:30.
