Gavin's Story...
Gavin is a three year old retired racer that is living with Heather and her family (foster home). He is living with a small child and a small dog - he is just a sweet dog that is just elegant to look at. He is healthy and sweet. Greyhounds appear to need lots of exercise, but the truth of the matter is that they have lots of speed, but no endurance. It really doesn't take much to keep them in in shape. A nice brisk walk is fine.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gavin, a BRIDGEPORT Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in BRIDGEPORT, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in BRIDGEPORT.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in BRIDGEPORT already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a BRIDGEPORT breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in BRIDGEPORT paves the way for another one to be saved.
