My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, my name is Dana. I’m a nine-month-old, sixty-four-pound black-and-rust Dobie-Girl with irresistibly cute, floppy, and very expressive ears and a tail that never stops. I’ve begun to look for my forever home and like to think of it as an interview since I’m so smart and beautiful. There are a few things you must know about me before you call. First, I have two speeds, on and off. In Dobie speak, that means, I’m a working dog and need activities to keep me busy. My energy level is at its puppy-max. Everything is new to me and I’m as curious as a cat. I would love to have fun dog friends to play with (like my foster brothers and sister) and also forever-people that like to do things with me. I hear that there all kinds of things people and dogs can do together. Since being at my foster home, I’ve learned to walk on the leash, sit, and I’m about ninety-eight percent house broken. Have I told you I’m a fast learner? Just ask me and I’ll tell you. By the way, I’ve never met a human or animal I did not like (even cats). One amenity my forever home must have is a fenced yard since I love to run as fast as I can and jump like those dogs I see on TV doing agility. Although I like to jump, I have learned to not touch the fence. Have I told you how smart I am? Also, I’m well behaved in the car when my foster parents take me places. I like to sleep and take naps in my crate when I’m tired. Finally, I must insist my forever-people help me keep my girly figure by providing me a well regulated diet. I eat very fast. I’ve grown accustom to being fed twice a day. If food is within my reach, I’ll get it. I could go on-and-on, but to cut to the chase, if you are looking for an energetic puppy who loves to play hard and sleep hard, I’m your girl.
