Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Denny is a 3 year old male Border Collie Mix and our best guess is that he is mixed with Lab. He is black and white with a smooth coat. Denny is one lucky dog who was less than an hour away from being euthanized at a very high kill shelter. Denny is very friendly and affectionate. This is a really nice and obedient dog who knows his basic commands. He is so happy to see you that he very often will let jump with excitement to greet you. Denny loves to run around and play with his foster siblings. He can be a bit of a fence fighter. He is middle of the road in dominance and he does get along with the other male currently in foster care. He is fine with his female foster siblings, however, BCIN recommends opposite gender placement. Denny requires activity in his life, as he would make an excellent running or hiking partner. He is fine on a leash, and is crate trained without any potty incidents. Crate training is about 75% towards housebreaking, so Denny should end up with nice house manners once he knows what is expected of him. Denny can be a bit exuberant and jump up on you, so he should be supervised around young children to make sure that he does not knock them over. Denny is very food motivated, therefore, further training or obedience will be easy. He craves interaction with his person, and will be one of those dogs that will pretty much do anything that you ask of him, especially if there are treats involved! Denny has a very nice personality and his temperament can be characterized as affectionate and easy going.
