My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Alfie is a totally lovable goofball. He's super friendly and loves being around people. He is still very puppyish at 11 months old, 23 inches at the shoulders and about 70lbs. He is especially gentle and not aggressive at all with people or other dogs. Alfie is eager to please and wants to be a good boy for you. He loves giving and getting kisses, adores being with people, getting belly rubs and when he's excited, he likes playing tug-o-war. Alfie truly enjoys running --- who wants a jogging buddy?

Alfie is an active fellow and would do best with a new family that has an on the go lifestyle. Backyards simply aren’t big or interesting enough for him and his exercise needs. Like all puppies he is a well-mannered boy with lots of activity to tire him out. He would do well in a family with older kids. Alfie is friendly with other dogs he meets and has not been tested with cats.

Alfie is house trained and knows basic commands including come and sit. He is an attentive learner and catches on quickly to new instruction like walking on leash. Nighttime finds him relaxing with the family, then off to bed where he sleeps quietly all night in his bed. He is not crate trained and doesn’t want to learn that skill. Alfie could be an only dog for someone who is around most of the day or a family addition with a current canine.

Alfie is being fostered in El Sobrante, CA. His adoption fee is $185.
